A large retailer recently upgraded their IT network infrastructure in Fairfield, Ohio as part of a new construction upgrade. Project Scope of Work

Actual Worked Performed

During the initial visit, our onsite IT support services technician began the core IT network installation. This included running two Cat6 drops and installing two Wireless Access Points (WAPs). They installed and configured both access points, successfully registering them to the controller. We also completed a backup of the existing firewall before installing and configuring the new one. Next, we set up the DHCP server on the firewall and added IP address reservations for the servers and printers. After verifying full functionality, we cleaned and organized the work area.

During the second visit, the main task was to switch the network connection from a non-PoE to a PoE-enabled switch to provide power to the IP phones and workstations. They adjusted the firewall rules and DHCP server settings to ensure printer connectivity. They successfully brought all IP phones, workstations, and printers online and confirmed their status with the onsite point of contact (POC).

And they also performed speed tests for both wired and wireless network connectivity.

Due to a change in scope, we conducted a third visit focused on confirming dial tone connectivity from the fax line to the fax machine. They backed up the configuration and reconfigured the device to ensure full functionality. They also organized and managed the cables in the network rack to improve structure and accessibility.
