Our onsite IT support team recently tackled IT network installation in Lexington, KY. It includes mounting hardware, relocation of workstation and deployment of network equipment without disruption of business operations.
Project Scope and Planning
Our team of onsite IT support in Lexington, KY received a service request for the following scope of work.
- Install a wall-mounted Ergotron, a battery backup and a Cradlepoint router
- Relocate a workstation from the front desk to another room
- Connectivity validation with both onsite and offsite points of contact (POC).
Project Execution
An Ergotron wall-mount system was installed to support a monitor and accessories, improving ergonomics and freeing up desk space. The mount was securely affixed to a stable wall surface at the new workstation location, with proper height adjustment for user comfort.The existing front desk workstation was carefully moved to a designated room. This included rerouting network cables, reconnecting all peripherals, and ensuring a fully functional setup in the new location.
To ensure power continuity and device protection, a battery backup with surge protection was installed. This UPS supports critical devices, allowing for continued operation during power interruptions and safeguarding equipment from electrical damage. A Cradlepoint router was installed and configured to provide reliable internet access, leveraging LTE/5G connectivity as needed. The device was tested to ensure it delivered secure, high-speed internet and integrated smoothly with the existing network infrastructure.
Connectivity tests were conducted across both onsite and offsite Points of Contact (POCs) to ensure internet access, and all network connections were verified as operational.
