This article showcases the recently completed an onsite IT network services in Collierville, TN. The primary goal was to provide the office with a dependable, secure and flexible internet connection to support its daily operations.
Our team of onsite IT support in Collierville, TN received service request for the following scope of work:
Cradlepoint’s main purpose is to leverage cellular networks (4G LTE, 5G) as a primary or backup internet connection. This is crucial for businesses in remote areas, mobile offices (like on buses or in emergency vehicles), pop-up retail locations, or temporary job sites. A key feature is “failover,” where the router automatically switches from a primary wired connection (like fiber or cable) to a cellular connection if the main service goes down. This ensures continuous internet access and prevents business downtime. Once the primary connection is restored, the router “fails back” to it.
It has built-in enterprise-grade security features, including robust firewalls, VPN support and cloud-based management. This allows businesses to create secure networks for their employees and customers, protecting sensitive data.
The installation process was initiated by our onsite IT support technician, who first verified the equipment and gathered the necessary tools.
To establish cellular connectivity, an activated 4FF-sized SIM card with an active cellular data plan was installed into the SIM1 slot. The battery was inserted, and the two cellular (paddle) antennas were attached to their respective ports. For optimal signal, one antenna was bent upward to a 90-degree angle, while the second remained straight.
An Ethernet cable was then connected to the port labeled “WAN” on the router and to the WAN source. With the cables connected, the router was powered on. The final step involved activating the device using the NetCloud Manager (NCM) to complete the setup.
The router’s front panel LEDs indicate that the WiFi signal strength is strong, with four solid blue lights, confirming that the device is operating normally.
This onsite IT network service project was successfully delivered with a reliable internet solution. Our team efficiently installed and configured the Cradlepoint router, which now serves as a high-speed broadband connection as backup or failover to support daily business operations.
